Assisting in the investigations are a 38 year old Montserratian male who resides in Hatton and a 27 year old Antiguan male who resides in the Villa Area. Both men are expected to be charged with offences ranging from Simple Possession to Drug Trafficking and will stand trial in the High Court. The estimated wholesale value of the seized product is EC$210,600.00.

More arrests are expected at the conclusion of these investigations.

This success follows the recent Father’s Day seizure by the ONDCP at the Airport where a German passenger enroute to the United Kingdom and a local taxi driver were jointly charged with a number of drug related offences.

The Prime Minister and Minister responsible for the ONDCP, Hon. Gaston Browne, expressed his satisfaction with the agency’s responsiveness towards disrupting transnational organized crime groups who engage in the smuggling of narcotics and reaffirmed his Zero Tolerance position on persons and/or groups attempting to use the Country as a transit point for drug trafficking.
