In order to achieve the mission of the ONDCP, the organization works in close partnership with the following entities, to ensure the borders of Antigua and Barbuda are protected from all criminal elements, whilst ensuring the safety of its citizens.

Financial Services Regulatory Commission (FSRC)

The Financial Services Regulatory Commission was established in 2002. The mission statement of the FSRC is to develop Antigua and Barbuda as an effectively regulated and well managed major international financial service provider. The FSRC supports the ONDCP in its supervisory role to ensure that the Anti Money Laundering/Combating Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) regime is adequately supervised.

Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF)

The mission of the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force is to defend Antigua and Barbuda’s territorial integrity and sovereignty to include, aid to the civil authority, fisheries protection, drug interdiction and humanitarian relief operations and to promote regional peace. The ONDCP liaises closely with the ABDF Intelligence unit and the ABDF Coast Guard, in the areas of intelligence and maritime related activities. Due to the involvement of the ONDCP and ABDF in drug interdictions, both entities work in partnership to ensure that our borders remain relatively safe from infiltration by drugs traffickers and those who engage in illegal activities.

Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda (RPFAB)

The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda is committed to the maintenance of law and order, the protection of life and property and the prevention and detection of crime. Although RPFAB have numerous units within the force the ONDCP is mainly in partnership with the Intelligence Unit, the Drug Squad and the Police prosecution department. Through the years the ONDCP has been able to sustain a good working relationship with the above mention entities within the RPFAB by sharing relevant intelligence and assisting with joint drug interdiction operations. The Police prosecution also plays a vital role in assisting the organisation with its numerous court cases.

Antigua and Barbuda Immigration Department

It is observed that the mission of the Immigration department is to professionally and effectively enforce the provision of the immigration laws of Antigua and Barbuda in an effort to regulate the status of immigrants residing in Antigua and Barbuda while managing migration so as to protect the country’s borders. Both entities work in partnership to strengthen the border security of Antigua and Barbuda, thus preventing undes `irable individuals from traversing through our borders.

Customs and Excise Division

The Customs and Excise Department is responsible for collecting the revenue in the state of Antigua and Barbuda, whilst ensuring that the licenses and necessary permits are granted before restricted goods are brought into Antigua and Barbuda. The division is also responsible for the protection of the country’s borders from all acts of terrorism. Over the years the ONDCP has worked closely along with the Customs and Excise division, sharing useful Information and Intelligence in order to clamp down on Money Laundering, Cross border movement of cash and Illegal Drugs which could be linked to terrorism.
