On Wednesday 5th March 2014, Officers of the Office of the National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP) conducted an operation at the V.C. Bird Int’l Airport which resulted in a Jamaican male being arrested and the seizure of 4.35 kilos of cocaine.

The male who also has Canadian citizenship was scheduled to depart on West Jet Flight no 2739 at 4:05 pm to Toronto, Canada. The seized drugs have an estimated wholesale value of US $57,000.00 or EC $153,900.00. Additional investigations are ongoing.
