Just three (3) days after a successful seizure of approximately 853lbs of Compressed Cannabis, The Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP) conducted another successful counter-drug operation.
On Friday 21st October 2016, two (2) men, 59-year-old Kirton POTTER and 32-year-old David NELSON, were held in the Powells Area with a small amountof Cannabis. Subsequently, a search warrant executed at a POTTER’s Residence led to the discovery of an additional 170lbs 12ozs of Cannabis.
The combined weight of drugs seized totals 171lbs and carries an estimated wholesale value of Six Hundred And Eighty-Four Thousand EC Dollars ($684,000.00 XCD).
The duo is expected to be arraigned in the Magistrate Court on Monday 24th October 2016 to face several drug related charges.
The ONDCP continues with its efforts to create a safer environment from persons engaged in organized crime. As we know the trafficking of drugs is often associated with guns and violence.
